Freelance SEO Specialist (Remote, 20 hrs/week)

About the role

We are a growing digital agency looking for a freelance SEO specialist to work remotely, 20 hours per week, on evening shifts. You will partner with our senior SEO lead to develop and execute AI‑enhanced search strategies for US‑based local businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate on client briefs, develop SEO strategies and deliver optimized content.
• Perform technical SEO audits, on‑page optimization, and e‑commerce SEO tasks.
• Manage local SEO assets including Google Business Profile setup, citation consistency, reviews, and map‑pack tracking.
• Research, write and edit English content that meets E‑E‑A‑T and Google Helpful Content guidelines.
• Leverage AI tools for keyword clustering, brief creation, drafting, and data summarisation from crawl reports and GSC exports.
• Monitor performance using Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console, GA4 and generate analytical reports.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of hands‑on SEO experience, preferably in an agency setting.
• Proven track record with local SEO and Google Business Profile management.
• Strong English writing ability; native level not required but drafts need only minor edits.
• Comfortable using AI throughout the workflow and can explain the process.
• Understanding of AI’s impact on search in 2026 and ability to adapt strategies.
