Financial Due Diligence Manager

About the role

Join PwC's Deals & Strategy Transaction Services team in Athens, working with private equity funds, portfolio companies and corporate clients on high‑profile cross‑border and domestic investments. You will lead integrated financial due diligence engagements, providing data‑driven insights that shape deal decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Project‑manage financial due diligence engagements, focusing on key financial risks, value drivers and potential upsides.
• Act as the primary day‑to‑day contact for clients and target companies, ensuring clear communication throughout the engagement.
• Analyse business operations across sectors and assess transaction‑related impacts on financial performance and valuation.
• Lead meetings with senior management to present findings and collaborate with cross‑competence teams (Tax, Legal, Advisory).

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in buy‑side or sell‑side financial due diligence, vendor assistance, or related advisory services.
• Strong academic background in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Greek.
• Commercial focus with a client‑centric mindset and ability to manage engagement budgets and timelines.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS, Greek GAAP and technical accounting (consolidations, TB mapping, closing procedures).
• Advanced data analysis and visualization tools: Power Pivot, Power Query, Power BI, Alteryx.
• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or CFA (in progress or completed) are highly regarded.
