Financial Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team at Bellafrutta, part of the Orsero Group. The role supports accurate, timely and compliant accounting, reporting and reconciliation activities across the business, with a focus on Greek tax and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier, creditor, customer and fixed‑asset invoices.
• Monitor accounts receivable, support credit control and customer collection activities.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations, investigate variances and resolve discrepancies.
• Review employee expense claims and assist with supplier and customer reconciliations.
• Prepare withholding tax calculations, monthly VAT returns and VIES reporting.
• Support group reporting and contribute to statutory and local year‑end closing processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely submissions through the myDATA platform.
• Stay informed about Greek tax and accounting legislation and assess impact on finance processes.
• Partner with Sales, Logistics and other cross‑functional teams to provide financial insight for decision‑making.
• Track relevant KPIs and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls and procedures.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of professional experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, Greek GAAP and IFRS reporting standards.
• Hands‑on experience with myDATA, VAT/VIES reporting and account reconciliation.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Analytical mindset, high attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
• Effective communication, sense of ownership and proactive, solutions‑oriented approach.
