Finance & Accounting Controller

About the role

The Finance & Accounting Controller will report directly to the CFO of a well‑established commercial and industrial company. The role combines financial monitoring, analysis, accounting support and the delivery of reliable financial information to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyse and present financial results, variances and key performance indicators.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes.
• Prepare monthly management reports for the CFO and senior management, including trend and margin analysis.
• Analyse sales, gross profit, profitability, costs, inventory and commercial performance by product, category, brand, channel or market.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing in close collaboration with the Accounting team.
• Review the accuracy of accounting entries, reconciliations and ERP‑generated financial data.
• Monitor key reconciliations such as customers, suppliers, inventory, bank and general‑ledger accounts.
• Participate in external audits, tax reviews and compliance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 6–10 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Finance Controller, Accounting Controller or Commercial Controller.
• Experience in a large commercial organisation with many products/SKUs, brands and sales channels.
• Strong knowledge of management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Good understanding of Greek accounting and tax requirements, myDATA and electronic invoicing.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Entersoft or Entersoft One.
• Familiarity with reporting tools and Business Intelligence dashboards.
