Experienced Accountant – General Accounting & Tax

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a strong background in General Accounting to join our Finance Department in Koropi. The role focuses on managing tax, reporting and financial accounting functions, supporting statutory audits and contributing to the implementation of the new SAP4H system.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and submit various tax declarations (VAT, Intrastat, intercompany, corporate income tax, stamp duty, withholding taxes, etc.).
• Prepare recycling declarations and ensure accurate accounting provisions.
• Perform MY DATA activities, including data submission and regular reconciliations with the General Ledger.
• Assist in the preparation of the company’s financial statements.
• Collaborate with external auditors during statutory audits and gather tax‑related data for the annual Tax Certificate.
• Maintain the Fixed Assets Register.
• Record payroll journal entries and reconcile them with the General Ledger.
• Participate actively in the transition and implementation of the new SAP4H system.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a General Accounting role.
• Excellent knowledge of Greek tax legislation.
• Fluency in Greek and English.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Integrity, motivation and a proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Experience with the MY DATA platform.
