Early Years/Nursery/Kindergarten/Pre-school Teacher

About the role

This position supports the lead teacher in delivering a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate preschool program. The role involves assisting with daily lesson delivery, supervising children, and helping maintain a clean learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction by helping implement lesson plans, learning activities, and educational games aligned with the curriculum.
• Supervise and engage children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, and outdoor periods to ensure safety and promote positive behavior.
• Assist with behavior management by reinforcing classroom rules and guiding social‑emotional development.
• Prepare and organize learning materials, resources, and displays to facilitate hands‑on learning.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, including sanitising toys, surfaces, and equipment.
• Provide individualized support to children who need extra help or emotional assistance.
• Observe children’s development and communicate observations or concerns to the lead teacher.
• Support daily routines such as arrivals, departures, toileting, meals, and rest time.
• Model respectful, inclusive interaction to foster a positive classroom culture.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff to ensure consistent teaching practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (required).
• TKT training course completion.
• Prior experience working with young children in an educational or care setting (preferred).
• Patience, empathy, strong communication, teamwork, observation, creativity, organizational ability, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity.
