Director, Technology Delivery & Portfolio

About the role

Ethniki Asfalistiki is seeking a Director, Technology Delivery & Portfolio to establish and lead a new directorate responsible for all non‑business‑as‑usual technology change, from demand intake through solution design, delivery and quality assurance. Reporting to the CTO, the role will drive a large transformation portfolio including a new SAP‑based P&C core platform, bancassurance integration, digital platforms and data & AI initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead the Change Delivery directorate (IT Program Delivery, Solution Architecture, Platforms, QA Operations, build squads) and define its structure, processes and KPIs.
• Establish a single front‑door for all non‑BAU demand, run the IT Portfolio Board and manage quarterly change‑capacity quotas.
• Own the key business platforms (Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP and the new P&C core) end‑to‑end, including roadmap, releases and vendor management.
• Deliver the technology transformation roadmap on scope, schedule, budget and quality, reporting to the CTO and Executive Committee.
• Introduce an AI‑assisted software delivery lifecycle and govern its use, security and licensing.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; postgraduate MSc is a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of technology delivery experience, with at least 5 years leading portfolio or programme organisations, preferably in insurance or banking.
• Proven track record delivering large, multi‑vendor transformation programmes, especially SAP‑based core‑system replacements.
• Strong command of demand, portfolio and project governance; PMP, PRINCE2, MSP or SAFe certification advantageous.
• Fluent in Greek and English, both written and spoken.
