DevOps Engineer

About the role

Viva.com is a pan‑European tech bank delivering payments and banking services across 29 countries. As a DevOps Engineer you will design, implement and continuously improve automation, deployment and observability pipelines that support our cloud‑native platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines for multiple applications, services and environments.
• Develop and enhance deployment automation using Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines, scripting, templates and reusable components.
• Support migration, operation and optimisation of workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and other cloud‑native platforms.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices to deliver repeatable, secure and scalable infrastructure.
• Automate manual operational tasks with scripting and AI‑assisted automation where applicable.
• Standardise and improve release management, deployment governance and production delivery processes.
• Implement and maintain observability in Datadog, including monitors, dashboards, logs, metrics, alerts and integrations.
• Collaborate with SRE and engineering teams to enhance system reliability, incident detection and operational visibility.
• Identify performance, scalability, reliability and cost‑optimisation opportunities across infrastructure and delivery workflows.

Required skills

• Azure DevOps (YAML pipelines, templates, scripting).
• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and cloud‑native platforms.
• CI/CD automation and Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
• Datadog observability (monitors, dashboards, alerts).
• Scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) and AI‑assisted automation tools.
• Experience with cloud‑native operations and deployment governance.
