Country Accounting Controller – Greece

About the role

The Country Accounting Controller for Greece will lead finance operations, ensuring high‑quality reporting and compliance across multiple legal entities. Reporting to regional finance leadership, the role bridges commercial, tax, treasury and audit functions to meet both group and local objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Record‑to‑Report (RTR) process, monitoring balance‑sheet and income‑statement quality for assigned entities.
• Lead month‑end reporting, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to the region and business unit.
• Maintain compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, local GAAP, SOX and statutory tax requirements.
• Act as the primary contact for internal and external auditors during group and fiscal audits.
• Oversee tax compliance (direct and indirect), manage filings, audits and relationships with tax authorities.
• Manage country cash‑flow, banking relationships and treasury policies.
• Drive standardisation of accounting processes and contribute to global simplification programmes.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting and a professional accounting qualification (CPA or equivalent).
• Proven leadership ability to initiate and embed change across finance teams.
• Strong analytical mindset, capable of handling high‑pressure month‑end closures.
• Excellent communication skills and experience managing cross‑functional stakeholder relationships.
