Communications Director

About the role

Action Global Communications, an integrated communications agency in Athens, is seeking a dynamic Communications Director to lead client‑facing communications activities and drive integrated campaign delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of client accounts, maintaining high service levels and client satisfaction.
• Develop and implement 360° communications strategies, budgets and tactics aligned with each client’s objectives.
• Maximize brand presence across channels while ensuring consistency in all communications.
• Consult clients on overall communication strategies, handling ad‑hoc issues, challenges and crises.
• Handle inbound and outbound media enquiries, review and approve content, and influence media coverage.
• Lead ideation and brainstorming sessions to produce creative, workable communication concepts.
• Coordinate daily operations with Communications Managers and Executives, overseeing performance, learning & development, workload management and resource allocation.
• Drive business development by identifying new opportunities, preparing pitches, proposals and negotiations, and motivating the wider team to participate.
• Expand the agency’s network through conferences, events and trade shows.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry developments and build relationships with thought leaders.
• Apply strong financial and business acumen to all client‑related and internal activities.
