Bulgarian Content Moderator – Athens (On‑site)

About the role

We are looking for a Bulgarian Content Moderator to join our fast‑paced, international moderation team in Athens. You will assess user‑generated content across multiple digital platforms, ensuring compliance with client policies and local regulations while maintaining a safe and engaging experience for users.

Key responsibilities

• Review and moderate text, images, video, and live streams according to client guidelines and legal requirements.
• Make accurate, timely decisions to remove, label, approve, or escalate content, maintaining consistency and quality.
• Log actions, provide rationale, and keep audit‑ready records using internal tools and workflows.
• Escalate complex or borderline cases to senior moderators or specialised teams.
• Communicate trends, recurring issues, and potential policy improvements to peers and leads.
• Participate in knowledge‑base updates, calibration sessions, and quality‑assurance activities.
• Work rotational shifts, including occasional evenings and weekends, to ensure 24/7 coverage.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native Bulgarian (C2) and fluent English (B2+) for internal communication and reporting.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to apply policies objectively and sensitively.
• Comfortable making quick, well‑reasoned decisions in a high‑volume environment.
• Experience in content moderation, trust & safety, community management or related fields is advantageous.
• High digital literacy and ability to learn new platforms and moderation tools quickly.
• Resilience and emotional maturity when handling sensitive or disturbing content; support mechanisms are provided.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team and adapt to evolving policies.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
