Telemedicine Medical Doctor – GP/Internal Medicine Specialist

About the role

Telemed+ by Unimed is looking for a qualified General Practitioner or Internal Medicine Specialist to deliver 24/7 remote medical support to vessels worldwide. Working from home, you will conduct medical consultations, guide emergency care and collaborate with a registered nurse during ten 24‑hour shifts each month.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 remote medical consultations and triage acute and non‑acute conditions for crew members aboard ships.
• Deliver emergency medical guidance and support captains and onboard medical personnel during incidents.
• Perform pre‑employment medical examinations and contribute to preventive health projects such as malaria, MPOX, infectious disease, vaccination, heat stress and wellness initiatives.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records, upload documentation to the company platform and ensure GDPR and confidentiality compliance.
• Collaborate with the assigned registered nurse, follow company SOPs and clinical protocols, and participate in audits and quality improvement activities.

Required profile

• Valid Greek medical licence.
• Board‑certified General Practitioner or Internal Medicine Specialist with solid clinical experience.
• Ability to work independently, make evidence‑based decisions and handle shift‑based schedules (10 × 24‑hour shifts per month).
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
