Telemedicine Medical Doctor – GP / Internal Medicine Specialist

About the role

Telemed+ by Unimed is looking for an experienced General Practitioner or Internal Medicine Specialist to join its 24/7 telemedicine team. The doctor will provide remote medical consultations and emergency support to vessels worldwide, working alongside a registered nurse during each 24‑hour shift.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 24/7 remote medical consultations, triage and manage acute and non‑acute conditions via telemedicine.
• Provide emergency medical guidance and support captains and onboard medical personnel during incidents.
• Perform pre‑employment medical examinations and contribute to health‑promotion projects such as malaria, MPOX, infectious disease prevention, vaccination guidance, heat‑stress mitigation and lifestyle initiatives.
• Maintain accurate medical records, upload clinical data to the company platform, and ensure GDPR‑compliant confidentiality.
• Collaborate closely with the assigned registered nurse, follow all SOPs, clinical protocols and participate in audits and quality‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• Valid Greek medical licence.
• Qualified General Practitioner or Internal Medicine Specialist.
• Experience in remote or telemedicine consultations.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills and ability to work independently while adhering to established protocols.
