Tax Advice Manager

About the role

PwC is seeking a Tax Advice Manager to join its Tax Advice Team in Athens. You will help clients navigate complex tax issues related to transactions, restructurings and day‑to‑day compliance, turning intricate tax matters into clear, actionable strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax advisory services for buy‑side and sell‑side transactions, including due‑diligence work.
• Deliver tax structuring advice for post‑transaction activities, group reorganisations and routine tax matters.
• Conduct technical research on tax legislation and jurisprudence to address sophisticated issues.
• Collaborate with tax professionals across jurisdictions and with deals teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Manage end‑to‑end execution of tax‑related projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality control and client alignment.
• Allocate resources efficiently, prioritize tasks, and support junior team members.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in tax matters, preferably in tax M&A or tax certificates.
• Strong knowledge of income tax, VAT, international taxes, accounting, tax procedures and corporate law.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting & Finance or Law; a master’s or professional tax qualification is a plus.
• Proven experience supervising a team and developing junior staff.
• Excellent business writing skills in English and Greek.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adopt new technologies, including AI.
