Systems Engineer – Unmanned Aircraft Remote Control Station

About the role

Join Intracom Defense as a Systems Engineer focused on Remote Control Stations for Unmanned Aircraft Systems. You will work on the full design and development cycle of ground‑based command and control solutions for defense and security applications.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the design and evolution of Remote Control Station architecture, operator consoles, displays, networking and power supply equipment.
• Support hardware integration, including shelter/container layouts, power distribution, grounding, cable routing and harness architecture.
• Produce system architecture documentation such as block diagrams, ICDs and network diagrams.
• Manage system requirements with tools like IBM DOORS, ensuring traceability to verification activities.
• Assist integration and verification, including lab system integration, communication link checks and end‑to‑end command/telemetry validation.
• Contribute to safety analyses (ARP4761) and certification support (STANAG 4671, MIL‑STD‑810, MIL‑STD‑461/464).

Required profile

• University degree in Electrical/Electronic/Systems Engineering or related field.
• Understanding of wireless communications, ICT and networking equipment.
• Familiarity with electrical power distribution and lightning protection.
• Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) and systems engineering processes.

Required skills

• IBM DOORS or equivalent requirements management.
• MBSE/SysML modeling.
• Knowledge of STANAG‑4671, ARP4761, MIL‑STD‑810, MIL‑STD‑461/464.
• Human factors and usability engineering.
• Design of power distribution, grounding and EMI/EMC mitigation.
