Sustainability Engineer / Auditor

About the role

EUROCERT is looking for a motivated Sustainability Engineer/Auditor to join its Certification Department in Athens. You will work within a dedicated sustainability team, receiving continuous training while participating in inspections, audits and verification projects both in Greece and abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in inspections, audits and verification projects in Greece and internationally.
• Support the development and implementation of sustainability verification and certification services.
• Review and analyse environmental and sustainability data and documentation.
• Assist with carbon‑footprint calculations, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and other environmental verification activities.
• Communicate and cooperate with clients and verification team members.
• Maintain awareness of relevant national and European requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or a related scientific field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in sustainability, environmental consulting, certification or related projects.
• Basic knowledge of carbon‑footprint analysis and/or LCA (advantage).
• Familiarity with European environmental and sustainability legislation and reporting requirements (advantage).
• Knowledge of ISO management‑system standards (advantage).
• Professional Engineer registration with TEE (advantage).
• Fluency in English, driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and teamwork skills.
