S&Q Auditor

About the role

We are looking for a qualified S&Q Auditor to lead internal and external audits of our vessels, ensuring compliance with international maritime safety and quality standards. The role involves preparing ships for audits, monitoring certifications, and driving corrective actions to maintain high operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct internal ISM, ISPS and MLC audits and inspections to evaluate control effectiveness.
• Prepare vessels for compliance with international audit requirements.
• Support vessels during external ISM/ISPS audits and MLC inspections.
• Develop the internal audit plan, draft audit charters and produce detailed audit reports.
• Record non‑conformities and observations, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Monitor certificates and audit reports via Navision to ensure validity and timely renewal.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies or a related field (post‑graduate degree is a plus).
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar auditing role within a shipping company.
• Strong knowledge of ISM, ISPS and MLC standards.
• Certified Auditor from a recognized training centre.
• Fluent English with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to stay updated on legislative and international requirement changes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Navision (Microsoft Dynamics NAV) for certificate and audit tracking.
• Computer literacy and basic IT skills.
