Software Engineer - Client-facing Apps

About the role

Blueground is looking for a Software Engineer to join the client‑facing mobile team. You will build and maintain the backend services that power the guest mobile app, enabling seamless booking, apartment access, support, and personalized services for thousands of travelers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale backend services in Kotlin and Node.js.
• Create and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs for real‑time mobile interactions.
• Write unit tests, automate workflows, and ensure high‑quality code through CI pipelines.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams using JIRA, Figma, and Datadog for monitoring.
