Senior Sustainability and Climate Consultant

About the role

Mellon Labs is seeking an experienced professional to lead and deliver projects in climate strategy, carbon footprinting and circular economy. This hands‑on position blends strategic thinking, project delivery, client management and business development across the firm’s portfolio companies and new ventures.

Key responsibilities

• Understand clients’ business needs, regulatory obligations and sustainability challenges.
• Define project scope, objectives, methodology, deliverables, timelines and resource requirements.
• Lead consulting engagements in climate strategy, carbon footprinting and circular economy.
• Analyse environmental data and translate findings into practical business recommendations.
• Write and review studies, reports, proposals, presentations and technical deliverables.
• Manage contract execution, ensuring quality, timely delivery and effective stakeholder communication.
• Identify unmet needs and emerging challenges that can become new services or commercial opportunities.
• Contribute to proposals, sales discussions and client‑relationship development.
• Guide and review the work of junior team members while staying directly involved in research and analysis.
• Support both strategy development and hands‑on implementation, delivering measurable results.

Required profile

• A degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related scientific/engineering discipline.
• Strong professional experience in sustainability consulting, climate strategy, carbon accounting or circular economy.
• Demonstrated project, client or team management experience with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams.
• Excellent analytical and writing skills in English and Greek.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to connect client challenges with actionable services.
• High self‑management, organisational and prioritisation skills, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
