Energy Engineer – Thessaloniki Airport

About the role

The Energy Engineer will lead energy‑saving initiatives at Thessaloniki Airport, overseeing design, development and implementation of projects that improve efficiency and reduce costs. The role also supports operation and maintenance of photovoltaic plants and Airfield Ground Lighting systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development, design and construction of energy conservation projects, ensuring compliance with budgets, timelines, regulations and specifications.
• Operate and maintain all company photovoltaic installations and conduct audits to identify energy‑saving opportunities.
• Monitor and analyse energy consumption across airport facilities and prepare project reports and technical documentation.
• Supervise contractors and staff during implementation of energy projects and stay updated on renewable energy solutions.
• Provide technical support for preventive and corrective maintenance of Airfield Ground Lighting systems, including ordering spare parts.

Required profile

• MSc or Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years experience as Project Manager or Project Engineer on energy‑saving projects.
• Fluency in Greek and English at a professional corporate level.
• Computer literacy with advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Fulfilled military obligations, if applicable.
