Senior Software Engineer (Java)

About the role

Light & Wonder is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join its high‑performing agile team. You will work on designing, building, and operating cloud‑native Java applications that power the world’s leading iGaming platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in all stages of the software development life‑cycle, from analysis to testing and deployment.
• Write clean, efficient Java code and develop RESTful services using Spring Boot.
• Design, implement, and maintain micro‑service architectures on AWS.
• Review and refactor existing code to improve reliability, performance, and operability.
• Lead technical discussions, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical coaching on large initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in web system design and development.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical decisions.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
