Firmware Engineer II

About the role

Mid‑level embedded firmware engineers will own firmware modules from concept to production, delivering robust, high‑performance code for motor‑drive applications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development of embedded firmware modules, ensuring performance, determinism and low memory footprint.
• Support hardware bring‑up, board revisions and cross‑functional system integration.
• Perform deep root‑cause analysis, debugging complex issues and reviewing technical specifications.
• Improve firmware architecture, modularity and maintainability, and contribute to process improvements such as code reviews and Git workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science (Master’s a plus).
• Minimum 3 years of professional embedded firmware experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.

Required skills

• Embedded C programming.
• Experience with ARM Cortex MCUs, especially STM32; exposure to NXP and Renesas is a plus.
• Proficiency with Git in collaborative environments.
• Hands‑on use of oscilloscopes and logic analyzers for timing and protocol validation (CAN, PWM, ADC).
• Understanding of motor‑drive fundamentals.
