Senior Associate – M&A Financial Services (Corporate Finance)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Associate for our M&A Financial Services Corporate Finance team in Athens. You will work on high‑profile banking and financial‑services transactions, supporting clients across the Greek market throughout the full deal lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and screen potential acquisition targets or investors and conduct market analysis.
• Prepare pitch books, presentations and other marketing materials for client engagements.
• Build and maintain complex financial models and perform valuation analyses (DCF, comparable, precedent transactions).
• Participate in negotiations, due‑diligence, and deal execution up to signing and closing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including legal, regulatory and risk experts to address transaction complexities.
• Develop and nurture relationships with clients and industry leaders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
• At least three years of professional experience in M&A, financial modelling and business‑plan preparation within advisory, banking or consulting.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA or CFA (completed or in progress) is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, Greek GAAP and related accounting standards.

Required skills

• Financial modelling and valuation techniques.
• Advanced use of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Programming language proficiency (e.g., Python, VBA) for handling large data sets.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Greek GAAP accounting standards.
