Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead financial accounting, reporting, and treasury functions, ensuring compliance with IFRS, local GAAP and company policies. The role involves managing month‑end close, statutory reporting, audits and providing financial analysis to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, provisions and reconciliations.
• Ensure statutory and tax compliance, oversee required filings and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Maintain effective accounting controls, approval procedures and segregation of duties, identifying gaps and implementing remediation.
• Monitor liquidity, cash flow and working capital; oversee payment controls, banking activities and credit management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and provide financial analysis to explain variances and aid management decisions.
• Maintain accounting policies, drive standardisation, simplification and automation, and support ERP changes and finance projects.
• Protect confidential information, uphold company values and contribute to operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field; professional accounting qualification or postgraduate degree is an advantage.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance or audit, with proven expertise in closing, statutory reporting, taxation, internal controls and audits.
• Experience working with auditors, authorities and professional advisers; multinational, shared‑service and SAP finance transformation experience are beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local accounting standards and tax requirements; advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/reporting tools, preferably SAP.
• Fluent in English and the local language, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus.
