Retail Salesperson – Boardsports Store

About the role

The Retail Salesperson works full‑time on‑site in Microxtreme’s Thessaloniki and Athens shops. The role involves welcoming customers, understanding their needs, and recommending suitable boardsports products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, understand their needs, and recommend suitable boardsports products and services.
• Explain product features, benefits, and comparisons to help customers make informed decisions.
• Answer customer questions and process sales transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Stock and organize shelves, ensuring merchandise is displayed attractively and inventory is well‑maintained.
• Keep the sales area clean and orderly to provide a pleasant shopping environment.
• Handle product returns and exchanges efficiently, following store policies.
• Support promotional activities and in‑store events to drive sales.
• Communicate customer feedback to store management to improve service and performance.

Required profile

• Strong retail sales ability with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets and upselling.
• Solid product knowledge of snowboards, skateboards and related accessories, with the capacity to learn and explain features.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills, including active listening and a solution‑focused approach.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, manage time efficiently and handle multiple interactions during busy periods.
• Basic numeracy and familiarity with POS systems and cash‑handling procedures.
• Prior retail or customer‑facing experience preferred, but willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
• Snowboard experience is mandatory.
