About the role
The R&D Project Engineer will support the creation and improvement of new products by conducting competitive research, sourcing raw materials, and performing laboratory testing. This role bridges design, prototyping, and production, ensuring smooth product transfer to mass manufacturing.
Key responsibilities
- Research, analyze and benchmark competitor products to inform new product development.
- Source and evaluate raw materials, collaborating with existing suppliers and identifying new sources.
- Conduct laboratory tests and experiments, documenting and analyzing results to support design validation.
- Create and update 3D technical drawings and assembly models for product components.
- Coordinate product transfer activities, preparing documentation, material lists, and quality standards for mass production.
- Build and assemble prototypes, samples, and test units for R&D activities.
- Provide administrative support to the R&D department, including courier coordination and record maintenance.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Engineering or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years of experience in research & development, product development, manufacturing, or a similar engineering role.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or PTC Creo.
- Experience creating and modifying 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of product development processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
- Hands‑on experience with prototype assembly and testing is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
