Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the end‑to‑end purchasing lifecycle of raw materials, components, equipment and external services. The role ensures supply‑chain stability, cost‑reduction and profitability through strategic sourcing and supplier management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute long‑term sourcing strategies for commodities such as raw materials, O&M supplies, services and CAPEX projects.
• Lead full tender processes, including supplier pre‑qualification, evaluation, contract award and ongoing performance monitoring.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and service level agreements while ensuring compliance with legal and internal procedures.
• Analyse spend data, perform cost‑scenario analysis and implement cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with legal, finance and operational teams to mitigate supply‑chain risks and guarantee material availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics or a related field.
• 5+ years of sourcing/procurement experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proven seniority with strong negotiation, contract management and supplier‑performance evaluation skills.
• Fluent in English and the local language.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP and other ERP systems.
• Experience using sourcing software and vendor‑management platforms.
• Advanced data‑analytics capabilities for spend analysis.
• Knowledge of contract lifecycle management.
