Quality Manager - Cement Plant

About the role

HERACLES Group, Greece's leading building materials company and member of HOLCIM, is looking for a Quality Manager to join its Quality function at the Milaki Plant. The role ensures consistent quality performance by leading quality control, laboratory activities and product quality management, working closely with Production, Process, Technical Sales and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret quality performance data, identify deviations from targets and drive corrective actions
• Implement and improve the plant quality control plan, systems and procedures, and ensure compliance with quality standards and product specifications
• Manage the Quality Laboratory, including testing, methods, equipment and controls
• Define and monitor the product portfolio and recipes, and assess the impact of alternative raw materials and fuels on product quality
• Monitor customer satisfaction, support Technical Sales on customer complaints and support the development and testing of new products
• Integrate quality requirements into plant projects, operational changes and new installations
• Prioritise continuous improvement initiatives, coach and train the Quality team, share best practices across the Group and collaborate with technical institutions and universities

Required profile

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a relevant engineering degree
• 4+ years of experience in the cement industry in process or quality roles
• Fluent English
• Knowledge of the cement manufacturing process, equipment design and operation, and of clinker/cement chemistry, cost levers and environmental impact
• Experience in process inspections, measurements and audits

Required skills

• Familiarity with Quality and Environmental Management Systems, Be Ready Training, Environmental/Quality Engineers Development programs and the H&S Training Matrix Kit
• Analytical skills, attention to detail and good communication and interpersonal skills
