About the role
Marvell is seeking a Photonics Design and Test Engineer to design, layout, and test silicon photonic devices and subsystems. The role involves operating a die‑level probe station and performing optical, electrical, and opto‑electrical measurements.
Key responsibilities
- Design, layout and test silicon photonic devices and subsystems.
- Run, maintain, and upgrade a die‑level probe station for opto‑electronic IC testing.
- Set up ad‑hoc optical/electrical measurements to characterize components.
- Analyze experimental data and large datasets.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in photonics with >5 years experience, or PhD in relevant photonic technologies.
- Right to work in Greece (EU citizenship or valid visa/work permit).
- Self‑starter with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Required skills
- Design of passive and active silicon photonics components.
- Photonic simulation tools (Lumerical, Photon Design, RSoft, VPI or similar).
- Physical design/layout tools (Cadence, Mentor or similar).
- Photonics test platforms and related hardware/software development.
- Data analysis tools (JMP, DataConductor or similar).
