About the role
As a Field Application Engineer II at Nidec Automation ULV Drives, you will support new business opportunities and drive innovation in motion control and robotic systems by working closely with customers and internal teams.
Key responsibilities
- Interface with customers and internal teams to gather application requirements and translate them into product solutions.
- Test customer‑proposed solutions on dyno rigs or replica setups, ensuring performance meets specifications.
- Develop application‑specific test setups and evaluate features for AGV, robotics, and industrial automation.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing and R&D to define and implement new features.
- Prepare technical documentation, application notes, test reports, and sales presentation material.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 2‑5 years of experience supporting motion‑control projects.
- Experience operating motor dynos and assembling test rigs.
- Good time‑management and English communication skills.
Required skills
- Understanding of electric motor control theory for permanent‑magnet synchronous motors.
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as power analyzers and oscilloscopes.
- Knowledge of fieldbus communication protocols: CAN, EtherCAT, Profinet, Modbus, and ROS.
- Basic PLC or computer programming skills.
