Mid-Level Manual Tester – Public Sector IT Projects

About the role

As a Manual Tester you will support development teams delivering high‑quality software for EU public institutions. You will work on large‑scale digital transformation projects, ensuring functional and integration quality across the software lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business and functional requirements to design test cases.
• Create and execute test scenarios, functional, regression, integration and smoke tests.
• Validate REST and gRPC APIs using tools such as Postman and Kreya.
• Review JSON payloads and API responses for correctness.
• Run SQL queries to verify data integrity and application behaviour.
• Document, track and verify defects using test‑management tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts and project teams throughout the SDLC.
• Support troubleshooting through log analysis and environment verification.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in manual testing or quality assurance.
• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and testing methodologies.
• Experience creating test plans, test cases and defect reports.

Required skills

• Jira (QTest is a plus).
• REST APIs, HTTP methods and status codes.
• API testing tools: Postman, Kreya.
• JSON payload validation.
• Basic SQL for database validation.
• Exposure to gRPC, Protocol Buffers and HTTP/2.
• Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) environments.
• Application log analysis and containerised environments.
• Browser developer tools for troubleshooting.
• Basic Linux, Kubernetes or OpenShift command‑line knowledge.
