Mechanical Application Engineer

About the role

Intracom Defense (IDE) is seeking a Mechanical Application Engineer to join its Mechanical Engineering Section. You will work on the design, development and integration of cutting‑edge defence products, with a focus on hybrid power systems and diesel generator sets.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in mechanical design, development and integration of state‑of‑the‑art defence solutions.
• Develop Defence Hybrid Power Systems, especially Diesel Generator Sets, covering the full lifecycle from requirements specification to field trials.
• Produce technical data packages, prototypes, and oversee testing, safety compliance and manufacturing processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor/Technical University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Several years of hands‑on experience with setup, sizing, maintenance, integration and commissioning of diesel engine generators.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine‑alternator coupling, control functions and both VAC and VDC outputs.

Required skills

• Diesel Engine Generator setup, sizing, maintenance and commissioning.
• Understanding of diesel engine‑alternator coupling and control.
• Experience with VAC and VDC power output systems.
