About the role

The Materials Manager MEP will lead the sourcing and intelligence activities for all mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems across our resort projects. You will work closely with design, commercial and construction teams to ensure the right products are selected, priced and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct ongoing market research for key MEP systems (HVAC plant, ductwork, pipework, electrical distribution, lighting, UPS/generators, fire protection, controls/BMS), tracking price movements, availability, lead times and supplier capacity.
  • Develop and maintain an MEP materials intelligence library with approved manufacturers, technical datasheets, compliance certificates and warranties.
  • Support MEP design development by proposing technically compliant alternatives and evaluating cost, performance, energy impact and constructability.
  • Create and maintain price logs, long‑lead trackers and supplier/contractor contact lists, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Engage with manufacturers and contractors to understand product roadmaps, production capacity and after‑sales support, supporting dual‑sourcing and early procurement actions.
  • Package MEP materials for procurement, define evaluation criteria, prepare option comparisons and recommendations for approval.
  • Collaborate with Commercial to align MEP benchmarks with cost plans, support value engineering and ensure compliance with internal policies, ethical sourcing, codes, standards and H&S requirements.
  • Maintain accurate, audit‑ready documentation and identify supply risks, proposing mitigation and contingency plans.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in MEP materials management or procurement within construction or hospitality projects.
  • Strong analytical ability to track market trends, pricing and supplier performance.
  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing with designers, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, environmental and health‑and‑safety requirements.
  • Detail‑oriented approach to documentation, risk identification and mitigation.
