Junior Associate – Criminal Law

About the role

Mina Kaouni & Associates Law Firm is seeking a motivated Junior Associate to join its Criminal Law Department. The successful candidate will support the team in handling complex criminal matters, conduct thorough legal research, and contribute to courtroom strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing criminal cases at all procedural stages.
• Perform in‑depth legal research and analysis of statutes, case law, and scholarly sources.
• Draft pleadings, memoranda, legal opinions and other court documents.
• Support the preparation and strategic management of court proceedings.
• Attend, monitor and report on court hearings.
• Collaborate closely with senior lawyers on case preparation and execution.
• Maintain professional communication with clients, colleagues and authorities.

Required profile

• Law degree and admission as an attorney‑at‑law in Greece.
• Minimum three years of active legal practice, preferably with criminal law exposure.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong legal research, drafting and analytical abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capacity to handle demanding matters and competing priorities.
• High ethical standards, integrity and responsibility.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
• Client‑oriented mindset with a commitment to high‑quality service.
