IT System Engineer

About the role

AB Vassilopoulos is looking for an IT System Engineer to design, implement and maintain its enterprise IT infrastructure, including on‑premises and hybrid cloud environments. The role ensures system reliability, security and scalability while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain servers, networks, enterprise storage, virtualization platforms and hybrid cloud services.
• Administer Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP and Identity & Access Management across on‑premises and cloud.
• Manage Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, Defender) with a focus on security and compliance.
• Maintain backup and disaster‑recovery processes to guarantee data availability and business continuity.
• Administer Windows and Linux servers, VMware and Hyper‑V virtualization, and Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash or Python to improve operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, storage, database and cloud issues in partnership with IT support and development teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in system engineering, IT infrastructure and cloud administration.
• Strong expertise in Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policies and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Hands‑on experience with hybrid cloud environments, enterprise storage, VMware or Hyper‑V, and Windows/Linux server administration.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, endpoint protection and compliance requirements.
