Software Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Software Development Manager to lead our software engineers in Athens. The role combines hands‑on technical contribution with people‑management responsibilities, guiding the team through the full development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing culture.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching and regular feedback to support professional growth.
• Prioritize work, remove blockers and ensure timely delivery of projects and features.
• Promote engineering best practices, code quality and continuous improvement.
• Contribute hands‑on to design, development and delivery of software solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, QA Automation and DevOps engineers.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding and team growth initiatives.

Required profile

• 8+ years of full‑time professional full‑stack/web development experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong communication, collaboration and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral command of English.

Required skills

• JavaScript and TypeScript.
• React, Next.js and Express.js.
• HTML, CSS and responsive design.
• Design and consumption of HTTP APIs.
• SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, Memcached).
• Agile/Scrum development methodology.
• CI/CD practices and cloud‑native environments, including Kubernetes.
