IT Network Security Engineer

About the role

Join Avis Greece as an IT Network Security Engineer and help maintain a high level of cybersecurity across the organization. You will continuously improve security tools, processes, compliance activities, and information security governance while collaborating with other IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and assist in the investigation and handling of security incidents.
• Operate and manage cybersecurity solutions, focusing on NGFW firewalls, traffic‑segmentation firewalls, endpoint protection, and security‑monitoring tools.
• Evaluate vulnerability assessment and penetration‑test results and plan remediation actions.
• Work closely with the IT Infrastructure department to ensure secure operation of information systems.
• Lead and participate in projects that strengthen the security of the corporate IT infrastructure.
• Prepare and collect evidence for internal and external IT audits and maintain audit documentation.
• Draft, review, and continuously improve information‑security policies, procedures, guidelines, and ISMS documentation.
• Monitor implementation of IT department procedures such as change management, access management, and account management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in information security, network security, IT governance or IT auditing.
• Experience with IT audits and preparing organizations for internal and external assessments.
• Good knowledge of security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST or CIS Controls.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and effective communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Excellent command of the English language.
