Implementing Partner Support Associate

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking an Implementing Partner Support Associate to join its Athens office. The incumbent will work under the Senior National Budget Officer and the Compliance Verification Coordinator to verify expenditures submitted by implementing partners, ensuring compliance with IOM financial rules.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed verification of partner‑provided expenditure data.
• Identify, analyse, and resolve data discrepancies and operational issues.
• Prepare verification reports and communicate findings to partners and internal stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of IOM accounting procedures and contribute to audit readiness.
• Assist in the continuous improvement of verification tools and processes.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field with at least three years of relevant experience, OR high‑school diploma with five years of experience.
• Previous experience in a similar verification or finance function is an advantage.
• Experience working in a multicultural environment.
• Fluency in English and Greek (oral and written).
• Commitment to humanitarian principles and strong work ethics.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Knowledge of IOM accounting systems, particularly SAP (PRISM‑FI), is a distinct advantage.
• Ability to learn new software applications quickly.
