HSE Coordinator

About the role

The HSE Coordinator will support the HSE Manager in implementing and maintaining Mondelēz International’s Health & Safety policy at the Athens confectionery and chocolate manufacturing plant. The role focuses on fostering a world‑class safety culture and driving continuous improvement toward an accident‑free workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and lead cultural transformation to achieve zero accidents and incidents.
• Coordinate and oversee implementation of all Health & Safety programs in line with the HSE Management System.
• Monitor compliance with Greek occupational health and safety legislation and EU regulations.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations specific to confectionery manufacturing.
• Participate in investigations, close non‑conformances, and drive corrective actions.
• Provide HSE expertise for new projects and change‑management activities.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date incident reporting system and ensure root‑cause analysis is applied.

Required profile

• Fluency in Greek and good command of English for corporate reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage employees at all levels.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.

Required skills

• Environmental Health and Safety training in specialized areas.
• Experience with ISO compliance and regulatory reporting.
• Knowledge of Greek and EU health and safety legislation.
• Understanding of food‑manufacturing hazards specific to confectionery and chocolate production.
• Proficiency in incident investigation methodologies and root‑cause analysis.
