Guest Experience Facilitator – Receptionist

About the role

As a Guest Experience Facilitator / Receptionist at Xplore, you will welcome visitors, guide them through interactive exhibits and ensure a safe, memorable experience.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with visitors, encouraging learning through interactive activities and events across the science, adventure and ocean zones.
• Act as receptionist when needed, handling cash, admission tickets and retail transactions.
• Provide basic first‑aid assistance and maintain safety standards.
• Facilitate birthday parties (primarily on weekends) and school group visits (on weekdays).
• Support the Operations Manager and Supervisors in marketing initiatives and revenue generation.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
• Maintain operational efficiency while safeguarding health and safety rules.

Required profile

• Approximately two years of experience working with visitors in a leisure, attraction or related environment.
• Strong communication skills with both guests and colleagues.
• Retail, food‑and‑beverage or front‑of‑house experience is a plus.
• Experience facilitating events and working with children, such as birthday parties or school visits.
• Ability to lead by example and inspire high‑quality service.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including afternoons and weekends; full‑time (8 h) or part‑time (4 h) availability.
• Enthusiasm, creativity, sound judgement and a positive team spirit.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and enjoyable visitor attraction.

Required skills

• First aid certification (or equivalent basic first‑aid knowledge).
