GRC & Internal Audit Associate – Core Industries

About the role

Join PwC's Governance, Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit (GRC & IA) consulting team in Athens. As an Associate you will support client engagements across core industries, helping to turn complex challenges into actionable opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research, gather information and perform analysis to address ambiguous client problems.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver client engagements on time and to quality standards.
• Apply commercial awareness and common‑sense judgment to assess data reliability.
• Engage in open conversations with clients and stakeholders to build trust and effective communication.
• Support senior colleagues, develop audit and risk‑management skills, and maintain strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Up to 2 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, external audit, internal controls or business‑process optimisation (or strong motivation to develop in internal audit).
• Academic degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; degree in Internal Audit or Risk Management is a plus.
• Interest in professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA or CISA.
• Fluent in English and Greek, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive, team‑oriented attitude and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with data‑analysis tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, ACL or QlikView.
