General Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic General Accountant to join our client’s finance team. The role involves handling end‑to‑end accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting tax and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record accounting transactions in SAP (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable).
• Process electronic payments to suppliers, customers, tax authorities and other third parties.
• Monitor bank accounts, cash balances, petty cash and cheque transactions.
• Handle indemnification payments and communicate with policyholders, brokers and banks.
• Prepare tax‑related declarations (IPT, WHT, VAT, social security, freelance tax).
• Reconcile account statements, post GL entries, manage provisions and internal controls.
• Coordinate with banks for access codes and credentials.
• Process legalization and compliance matters (Commercial Registry, Tax Authority, banks).
• Administer contracts, service agreements, lease agreements and related payments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Familiarity with SAP accounting modules.
• Knowledge of IFRS (strong plus).
• Knowledge of MyData (strong plus).
