Finance Director (CFO) – Lead Financial Strategy

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Director (CFO) to join the Executive Leadership Team of PEGASOS S.A., a leading FMCG distribution company in Greece. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will shape the financial strategy, support sustainable growth, and ensure long‑term financial stability.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial controlling, profitability analysis, cost management and risk monitoring.
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, business planning and financial performance review processes.
• Develop and maintain a performance‑management framework with KPIs, management reporting and profitability analysis across customers, channels, brands and products.
• Partner with Sales, Commercial and Operations to optimise product mix, customer and channel profitability, trade investments and margin management.
• Provide financial governance for commercial agreements, assess risks and support contract negotiations.
• Direct treasury activities including cash‑flow forecasting, liquidity management, working‑capital optimisation and banking relationships.
• Manage financing facilities, CAPEX planning, investment evaluation and compliance with financing agreements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior finance leadership within a fast‑moving consumer goods or distribution environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
• Hands‑on leadership style, capable of driving day‑to‑day accounting operations while influencing strategic decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, comfortable working with cross‑functional teams.
