Experienced Sustainability & Climate Change Professional

About the role

PwC is looking for an experienced Sustainability & Climate Change Professional to join its Athens team. You will help clients navigate complex climate and sustainability challenges, turning regulatory and physical risks into strategic opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct climate risk assessments (physical and transition) using scenario analysis aligned with TCFD.
• Prepare sustainability disclosures and ensure compliance with CSRD and other regulations.
• Support EU Taxonomy eligibility assessments and related reporting.
• Perform GHG inventory calculations (Scopes 1‑3) following the GHG Protocol, ISO 14064/14067, and conduct LCA modeling.
• Develop climate strategies, transition plans, and science‑based targets in line with SBTi and TCFD.
• Identify carbon‑footprint reduction opportunities and design carbon‑offsetting mechanisms.
• Assess nature‑related risks using TNFD and integrate biodiversity considerations into client strategies.
• Research emerging climate policies and translate them into actionable client advice.
• Leverage GIS and other sustainability data platforms to improve deliverable quality.
• Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and contribute to proposals and thought‑leadership pieces.

Required profile

• University degree (BSc or MSc) in Engineering, Environmental Science, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum four years of client‑facing consulting experience in sustainability, carbon accounting, decarbonisation or climate risk analysis.
• Strong understanding of global sustainability frameworks, standards and regulations.
