Energy Engineer – R&D, Energy Software & Power Systems

About the role

European Dynamics is seeking an R&D Energy Engineer to lead and execute EU‑funded projects focused on information technologies and power‑system engineering. The role is based in Athens and involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to advance European energy research and develop innovative software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute European Commission projects in the fields of IT and power‑system engineering.
• Produce comprehensive deliverables and reports, including requirements, conceptual models, specifications, and integration plans.
• Lead the development of pioneering concepts such as integrated energy‑sharing platforms, energy protocols, and flexibility markets.
• Contribute to the design and creation of products and services for energy data spaces, communities, storage, and related digital technologies.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, ICT or Power‑Systems Engineering, preferably MSc or PhD.
• Minimum 4 years of experience working with technical teams and at least 2 years in national or European research programmes.
• Proven experience in software design and development, as well as in transmission/distribution networks and energy wholesale markets.
• Fluent in English and Greek, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
