About the role
Bureau Veritas is looking for an Electrical Inspector to act as a third‑party inspector on construction, commissioning and operational sites in the Athens metropolitan area. The role involves independent technical inspections, testing, certification and ensuring compliance with national and international electrical standards.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct technical inspections of electrical installations in Greece and abroad, following Greek legislation and international standards (CEI, IEC, ASTM).
- Perform testing and commissioning activities for all types of electrical systems.
- Review design documents for buildings and renewable energy projects (PV, wind, hybrid).
- Prepare inspection reports, commissioning records and compliance certificates with photographic evidence.
- Coordinate with project teams, energy distributors, clients and authorities to align schedules and results.
- Maintain inspection databases, archive technical data and ensure traceability according to Bureau Veritas procedures.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and client‑specific specifications.
- Operate autonomously on remote sites, managing logistics, safety and inspection timelines.
Required profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3–5 years of documented experience in electrical inspections for certification bodies or control organisations.
- Experience with renewable energy projects (photovoltaic, wind) is preferred.
- Proficiency with measurement instrumentation such as digital multimeters, clamp meters, megaohmmeters and network analyzers.
- Competence in reporting tools (Excel and proprietary Notified Body software) and technical data management.
