Director of Engineering

About the role

Light & Wonder is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead both front‑end and back‑end development teams, ensuring projects stay on schedule and align with company objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee front‑end and back‑end development teams and their deliverables.
• Monitor reliability and performance of internal processes and drive improvements.
• Ensure compliance with security regulations.
• Set goals, timelines, and objectives for software development teams.
• Develop strategies for future projects based on company objectives and resources.
• Hire, onboard, and coordinate new engineers.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders for new integrations and tools.

Required profile

• Experience managing globally dispersed engineering and QA teams at scale.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud‑based platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Experience refactoring legacy code bases.
• Knowledge of Agile and modern software development methodologies.
