Cyber Security Specialist

About the role

Hellas Gold, a subsidiary of Eldorado Gold Corporation, is recruiting a Cyber Security Specialist for its premises in Thessaloniki. The position reports to the IT Manager of the Information Technology Department and acts as the local cybersecurity specialist for Hellas Gold stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and run local implementation of global cybersecurity initiatives, standards and awareness activities.
• Support communication between local IT, site stakeholders, vendors and the Global Cybersecurity team, and escalate issues, risks and blockers through the right channels.
• Help adopt Eldorado Gold cybersecurity policies, standards and procedures locally.
• Support evidence gathering and follow-up for cybersecurity governance, cyber insurance, audit, compliance and regulatory requirements, including GDPR where applicable.
• Support incident response, documentation, evidence preservation, containment, recovery and remediation, and coordinate with IT, Legal, Communications and vendors during cybersecurity events.
• Track remediation from vulnerability scans, penetration tests, security assessments, incidents, audits and reviews, and follow up with system owners and vendors.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, Business with Technology Management or a related field.
• About 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, infrastructure, systems administration, IT risk/compliance or a related technology role.
• Experience working with IT operations, vendors, business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Valid driving licence and very good command of written and spoken English.
• CISSP preferred but not mandatory; Security+, CEH, GIAC or equivalent highly valued.
