Country Human Resources Generalist

About the role

Join the People & Culture team of Hellenic Duty Free Shops, a leading travel‑retail operator in Greece. This 1‑year fixed‑term position offers you the chance to support HR operations nationwide, gaining hands‑on experience across the employee lifecycle in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support onboarding, off‑boarding, role changes and contract administration in line with ERGANI requirements.
• Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS and related systems.
• Administer employee benefits, handling enrollments, changes, queries and coordination with external providers.
• Prepare and manage HR documentation such as contracts and amendments.
• Assist with time‑keeping, attendance tracking, leave management and shift scheduling.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team and respond to employee requests.
• Support Learning & Development activities, including training coordination and participation tracking.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in HR or benefits administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Economics or a related field.
• Basic understanding of HR processes, employee lifecycle activities and local labor context; knowledge of ERGANI is a plus.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and communication skills in English and Greek.
• Team‑oriented, proactive and problem‑solving mindset.
