Caregiver for Unaccompanied Migrant Children

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to support unaccompanied migrant children residing in its Thessaloniki shelter. The role involves providing daily care, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and assisting with the delivery of essential services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the daily operations of the shelter under the guidance of the Shelter Coordinator.
• Provide basic personal care, including hygiene assistance, meal support, and health monitoring.
• Facilitate access to legal counselling, psychosocial support, and educational activities.
• Support language learning programs and intercultural activities.
• Maintain accurate records of care activities and report any concerns to supervisory staff.

Required profile

• Experience working with children, preferably in humanitarian or shelter settings.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment.
